You probably couldn't tell much from the previous pictures, but the vinyl floor tiles in the laundry room were peeling up, and not laid well. There were gaps between them and all kinds of dirt caught between.Since we're taking down the closet and moving the water heater, we figured we might as well take the old floor up and put down a new one (currently there is only concrete below the water heater).
Things seemed easy at first. Look at that nice clean corner! But as I figured it was too good to be true. The rest of the room (I think) has an older vinyl floor and nasty adhesive under it. I've got my work cut out for me today. At least it's a job I can do (mostly) sitting down. My ankle is much better today, but I'm still supposed to stay off it as much as possible.

Hehe, when I had the bad back pain when the disk moved in my spine I was bored in bed and started to nail the speaker system cables to the wall. The pain got much worse and when the doctor asked me what I had been doing I was to honest and told him. He went mental, saying there was no wonder... So be careful, better to watch tv for a day or two.
Oh, I did more than my fair share of tv watching yesterday afternoon/ evening... I did pull up more than half of the tile... while sitting in one of those green plastic lawn chairs :) I decided moving the washer & dryer was probably on the list of things I'm not supposed to do, so I haven't pulled up the tiles under them yet.
So how is it going? Will it be finished for Christmas? :)
Definitely finished by Christmas... hopefully by Halloween.
