Earlier this week I starting thinking that it had been a long time since we'd gone anywhere on the weekend. I looked in the Oregonian's event section to see what was going on this weekend, and discovered that there was a special Valentine's event going on at the Pittock Mansion.
Normally it costs 7$ per person to get into the house, but I knew that the local public library has cultural passes that you can reserve and check out for various area attractions. It's great because you can get two adults and two kids into a garden or museum for free.

The ceiling is silver leaf under a bronze glazing. It's hard to see in the photo, but in real life, it's quite spectacular.
OK... I'm going to write more later, but I'm tired now....
Sorry.

There was another Valentine's chocolate and wine tasting event at the Jenkin's Estate. The parks district website really does not do the place justice. Anyway, I had the date of the event wrong but didn't realize it until we were in the parking lot. So, we visited this nearby winery instead.

Place looks cool and scenery is awesome!!!
Yeah, the weather was really great for Feb. Supposedly unusual for this time of year. Sami thinks Oregon is the New California since global warming started happening.
