A New Swing

Markus liked the swing in Charlotte so much we had to buy him his own. We found this one on Craigslist for 5$ and hung it in the fig tree next to our patio.

The funniest part is that when we went to the girl's house to pick up the swing, Markus immediately noticed it and started smiling and getting excited, even though it was not hanging and red instead of green.

Sitting and Playing

Markus and Moira finally get the chance to play together again after our three week trip to California and North Carolina.

It's amazing how they can both sit now. They couldn't do this before our trip.

Moira decides Markus' pacifier is so much better than her own.

She stole it from him several times. In the past he has always cried, but today he decided to get even and got it back by pulling her hair and bib.

Markus Eats a Fortune Cookie

My mom took us to a Chinese restaurant for lunch before our flight out of Charlotte. She had promised to take us out for lunch because Sami had won a refund on his groceries when we used her bonus card. Only we didn't realize it at the time and she had to take the receipt back later to claim the money.

Anyway, we felt bad about eating in front of Markus because he stares so intently at our food. Although he couldn't eat it properly, we figured he might enjoy chewing on a fortune cookie. He did. His fortune said he "would do well in the field of wacky inventions".

Visiting with Charlotte

Charlotte had been eagerly awaiting our visit for months. Unfortunately we were so sick when we arrived in NC that we couldn't see anyone without infecting them. Finally near the end of the visit we felt well enough for her to come over and see him.

Markus made the cracker very soggy and even ate part of it. However, he was very distracted by the dog who was very excited by the crumbs he produced.

Backbends in the Bouncy Chair

Markus has found a new way to use the bouncy chair.

I guess the old way got boring. He doesn't stay in it for very long. Of course I could use the seat belt, but then he'd scream instead of entertaining himself with backbends.
